The J-Talk Podcast - J1 Matchday 2

After another busy weekend in the J.League, with a full slate of J1 and J2 games played on Saturday, it was my pleasure to welcome Brendan Wimsett, one of the guys behind the excellent Yokohama blog Tricolore Pride, to the J-Talk hotseat as this week's guest.

Brendan and Blake do a fantastic job of keeping English-speaking Marinos fans up to date on their site, and after chatting briefly about how it all got started, and Brendan's time in Japan, we got stuck in to Yokohama's patchy start to the new season, before running through the other talking points of the weekend, including Cerezo's win in the Osaka Derby, Gamba's ongoing struggles and the other J1 results.

There's also a brief J2 update in there, while we had a little look ahead to whats coming this week, with the Nabisco Cup getting started and another ACL Matchday on Tuesday and Wednesday.

#The sound quality is perhaps not the best on this episode, and I'm aware of a 'glitch' at the 5:55 mark, but listen out for a brief appearance by a Sid Lowe-esque 'special guest' about halfway through.

You can listen on the player above, or download the mp3 by clicking on the J-Talk logo to the left. For iTunes users, we hope to have this episode available for you tonight (Monday).
