The J-Talk Podcast - Olympic Finale & J1 with Scott McIntyre

With the Olympic football tournaments now done and dusted and another enthralling weekend of J.League action behind us, I met up with Scott McIntyre, Asian football expert for Australian TV station SBS and the station's website The World Game, to run through it all. You can follow Scott on twitter here.

After briefly detailing our adventures in trying to find a peaceful place to record in the heart of Tokyo and then filling us in on a little of his back story, Scott gave his opinions on both the Nadeshiko and the Under 23 men, as well as Olympic football as a whole, before we ran through all the talking points in J1. We finished off with a chat about J2 and the exploits of Shinji Kagawa and Keisuke Honda over the weekend.

This 66-minute podcast runs in three parts:
Part 1 - Olympic football
The silver medal-winning Nadeshiko (to 9:55) and the fourth-placed men, and a quick look at this Wednesday's friendly against Venezuela in Sapporo (to 24:04).
Part 2 - J1 Matchday 21
From the game Scott atttended on Saturday, to the shock of the season, the Osaka Derby and everywhere else in between (to 56mins).
Part 3 - J2 & Japanese in Europe
Kofu pull clear, Kyoto move up, Kagawa and Keisuke in good form.

I used the link in the player to go for the correct one.
